Now where are my keys? In my book!

How about going out on a date, or a party and have your favorite book with you? Will everyone call you a geek or a trendsetter? I saw this kind of clutch last week in a bazaar and in my opinion is the best think i saw this year. I actually think that it is preety simple to make one of thoses. I will try this and make sure to inform you about the result!;)

Now the best i such clutches I saw so far are the one's the designer Olympia Le-Tan designs. Her book bags feature a hand-stitched version of the books' covers, usually of titles or editions from the mid-20th century.

"Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger,
"A Streetcar Named Desire" by Tennessee Williams, "Strip-Tease" by Georges Simenon, "Moby Dick" by Herman Melville, "Nineteen Eighty-Four" by George Orwell, "Dracula" by Bram Stoker and "Letters to a Young Poet" by Rainer Maria Rilke are among the purses in her two first lines. According to her website, Olympia Le-Tan clutches are available in the U.S. in only two New York stores.

Of course, book-style purses are nothing new. Last year we found books-turned-purses for sale on Etsy. And for the truly crafty, we also linked to a video guide for making your own.
Just one thing: if you're going to rip all the pages out of a classic like "Lolita," don't cheat yourself: read it first.

Natalie Portman showed up at the New York premiere of "Black Swan" with a long black Dior gown, immaculate Dior makeup, and a purse made out of a copy of "Lolita" by Vladimir Nabokov Designed by Olympia Le-Tan
Le-Tan's purses may be one of the hottest things on the red carpet right now -- another one went to the Harry Potter premiere in the hands of French actress Clemence Poesy -- but for most of us, the cost is out of reach. A Le-Tan purse costs about $1,250.

Do you get up stressed out every morning and think about what are you going to wear to work or at school every day? I'm sure a 99% of all girls have that problem. The only way to prevent this is by picking the outfits on the weekend. But how are you going to organize them so as to find them every day easily?

Guns For Girls

What’s every (straight) guy’s fantasy woman? Ted Noten takes a conceptual crack at answering that question, with two pieces in a provocative seven-part series titled “Necessities for a Woman (to Feel Like a Woman Through the Eyes of a Man).”
Dior001 is a gun (Noten’s signature) loaded with accoutrements, including Dior lip gloss, an antique hairpin, an arsenal of pharmaceuticals, a USB stick with “secret information,”
and a 100-gram sterling silver bar. Likewise, Chanel001 conceals Chanel lip gloss, an antique hairpin, a 18k gold toothpick, a perfume bottle with an 18k gold mechanism, a 50-gram 24kt gold bar, a USB stick, and a Viagra pill. In short, all the stuff a girl wouldn’t leave home without.

So is the ideal woman a pistol-packing spy who can apply lip gloss without a pocket mirror? Sounds a lot like a role for Angelina Jolie. For the record, Noten is aware that he’s presenting a stereotype. “He knows that a man thinks he understands a woman but most often gets it wrong,” Stefan Friedemann, of the Ornamentum Gallery, tells Co.Design.
The pieces are made from 3-D printed nylon. Noten instructed the computer modeler to work as a jewelry maker, merging a centuries-old tradition with the craft of the future.

Angels pt2.

So I hope you saw Victoria Secret's Angels in the last post so it is time to watch the highlights of 2011 Victoria Secret's Fashion Show!

I Heart Pixar!

Do you love the "Toy Story" film franchise, but struggle to find ways to wear your Pixar heart on your sleeve? Have you long desired to dress like Woody, Buzz or one of the Pizza Palace aliens, but lack the skill to design and create your own clothing?
Finally, you can breathe a sigh of relief, because Bossini has you covered.
The Hong Kong-based fashion label has unveiled a new line of "Toy Story"-inspired clothing, which include character print sweatshirts, costume-like frocks and fun accessories like bags and mufflers. Sure, you may have gone as Buzz Lightyear for Halloween for the past decade and a half, but now, you can wear dress like one of Andy's (former!) toys any day you'd like.
Check out a fashion shoot from the collection below, and click over to Bossini's Facebook page to see all their designs.
